It stayed pretty grey for a while today, but around 1:30 the sun came out and so did some new friends! We spotted these two humpbacks (see last picture of the post), and at one point they were about 50 yards away from us and coming straight for the boat before they dove again.
Later that evening when we finally got out to the Pacific, we were greeted by an entire pod of orcas--there was even a (sort of) baby! --I think we have pictures, so if we do we'll post more later!
